Often times, it is in our nature, as humans, to think negatively about things in our lives and it is hard to remember the things that are going well. Creating a healthy balance between our Primary Foods is something that we really need to work towards. One way to achieve this is to recognize the things we have to be grateful for in each of our Primary Foods categories.
Here are the things I am thankful for this week:
Spirituality – I am so thankful for my spirituality. More specifically, for my chosen religion. I love that it is the foundation for everything I do in my life. It is my guiding compass and I know that I would be lost without it.
Career – I am thankful that I am able to pursue a career in an area that I am passionate about. I am continuously amazed with the things I see that the human body can do to heal itself when given the right tools. I look forward to seeing more!
Physical Activity -I am thankful that my energy level feels like it is coming back up after the early, more sleep deprived, weeks since having my little guy. Because of this increase of energy, I feel that I can begin to do more physical activity or more deliberate movement. I hope to be able to pick up the pace in the coming weeks.
Relationships – I am thankful that I have a happy marriage. This is something that I sometimes take for granted because it does not always take a conscious effort to keep it that way. Every once in a while we will have to take notice of things that we need to “nip in the bud” before they turn into something bigger than they should. I am grateful to have this ability to keep our marriage strong.
